Stephen Council spoke with cofounder Ben Mann about how the team reviews ideas roughly every two weeks, kills weak prototypes quickly, and is expected to help turn Anthropic's frontier models into products as the company prepares to go public.\n\n[27 upvotes] Honestly wild that a team that small shipped Claude Code. I've got it running in 18 different cron jobs on my homelab via OpenClaw and it's the most reliable agent I've used. Meanwhile some enterprise teams I've seen still can't ship a working chatbot with 50 engineers.\n\n[14 upvotes] I really wish these companies wouldn’t try to go public. We all know the inevitable enshittification will follow. Plus as a consumer it’s not even like things are all that great right now with the opaque (at best) usage limits and random degradation of models, throttling etc. Coming from a super heavy power user, this is a cool technology but the fact that they continue to try to sell people on why it’s useful and shove it down people’s throats tells me that they don’t even really know what the long term business model is.
