But what do you mean by setting up a network? Nothing stopping Unsloth from uploading torrents for their stuff and just publishing the hashes for validation on their site for example.\n\n[48 upvotes] I've suggested it before but for true resilience we should not rely on torrents alone as the curse of 0 seeds always strikes when you can't find a file anywhere but torrents. I think a  combination of DHT torrents, Usenet uploads and Debrid caching would ensure the models are so widely distributed it will be very unlikely for them to completely drop off and periodic reuploads could fairly easily be automated by GitHub actions or similar.\n\n[46 upvotes] Can we use steganography and get Qwen3.6-27B params embedded in a series of YouTube cat videos?\n\n[32 upvotes] IPFS is a potential competitor to torrents.\n\nThe downside with torrents is even if people are sharing the same file it doesn't cross seed with different torrents.  Whereas with IPFS if I'm sharing the same unsloth Qwen3.6 Q8\\_0 then it doesn't matter what it's grouped with, if it's in a sub-directory, etc., it recognizes that it's the same file and I would join in any seeding of that specific file.\n\nSo if I shared all the gguf on my NAS, it would automatically help anyone downloading those ggufs.  I wouldn't have to hunt down which torrents I need to link them to.",
