"transcript": "Just to be clear, I’m on Pro 20x.\n\nWhen Astra dropped in the Mac desktop app, I was sitting at 39% of my weekly usage with 2 banked resets.\n\nIn the \\~3.5 hours since getting access, I’ve run 6 Astra Ultras, roughly 20 minutes each. One was a full repo audit, and the other five were deeper dives into specific parts of the codebase.\n\nI also ran 1 Astra Max to actually implement the findings from those audits.\n\nAnd right now I have 3 more Astra Ultras running concurrently: two implementation/coding tasks and one basically red-teaming the work Astra Max just did.\n\nI’m fully aware this is probably not the most token-efficient way to use it tho i got a save token skill on Taku that saved 12% usage. \n\nBut I honestly don’t care right now because it’s fixing things Sol has spent weeks overengineering.\n\nIt’s finding gaps I missed, pointing out where the architecture went sideways, simplifying things that became unnecessarily complicated, and actually pushing the repo instead making extra troubles.\n\nAs of right now, I’m down from 39% to 26% weekly usage, still with 2 banked resets remaining which is pretty much the only reason I’m comfortable abusing Astra Ultra this aggressively. Thanks Tibo.\n\nAgain, I understand the burn rate.\n\nBut so far, I’m happy with Astra. For the kind of repo-level work I’m doing, it feels significantly better than Sol at actually getting things done.\n\n\n\n--- Top Comments ---\n\n\n[16 upvotes] I'm not on Pro plan so only get the Astra Lite one but still feels much snappier than Sol for anything cross-file. Sol always want to refactor the whole project when I just needed a small fix in one module.\n\n \nThe concurrent runs is what got me, didn't realize you could stack them like that. Might push me to upgrade honestly.\n\n[1 upvotes] do the remaining resets survive an upgrade? I am on plus with 3 resets and thinking of upgrade to pro. This would be a big upside.\n\n[2 upvotes] >As of right now, I’m down from 39% to 26% weekly usage\n\nThis actually seems pretty respectable. I guess you did not use a lot of computer use, as that is one of the things I heard is a big usage sink. I do think you no longer can do heavy use on Plus as you could in the past, but it's kind of inevitable as OpenAI now has a frontier model that is good enough to always have an use.\n\n[2 upvotes] For reference, how many lines of code is the repo?\n\n[1 upvotes] astra crushes the companion apps ive tried for long context without drifting, but does it feel as natural in casual chats?",
