Lots of harm can happen. And we just happen to be lucky IMO that Anthropic and Demis Hassabis are leading the way instead of Musk and Altman\n\n[50 upvotes] TLDR: US government allegedly forced Anthropic to take down Claude Fable and Mythos after reports of a narrow jailbreak/security concern. The author argues the response was rushed, poorly justified, and politically/vibe-driven rather than based on clear technical evidence. Anthropic supposedly asked for details and more time, but the government imposed export restrictions that effectively shut access down globally.\n\n[37 upvotes] Most of the people saying it's Anthropic's own fault aren't the types to actually read a full article or blog.
