  "transcript": "One of the saddest things is that AGI is about to arrive yet society and people have no idea about it, nor do they know how to prepare for that. Seeing my family members enjoying their lives, talking about the future... It made me think of the meaning of life to some extent. No one around me knows or cares about AI. I have no one to express my ideas to. They won't believe me as well and saying I am too crazy and delusional that I should focus on my studies...\n\nBefore you call me delusional and crazy, I have seen too much research and articles and I am fairly on the Pro-AI side, but im just sometimes a conservative on the advancement of tech. I want to sustain my current life, maintain a relatively simple and less complicated society.... With the advancement of AI images, nothing will be real. The natural instinct that what you see is real is becoming a history. If you are actively following AI in general, you know what I am talking about. The future society is uncertain and no one knows what it will be. \n\n  \nI should focus on the present, but whenever I have free time, I couldn't get over this feeling. I am writing this because this has been on my mind for too long and it would make me feel better if I see other people feeling the same way.\n\nMy English teacher once said in order for society to evolve, one thing is necessary: Predictability.\n\nThe ability to predict the future accurately makes people know what to do, and I'm afraid the upcoming world does not give us that.\n\nThank you all for being here, being present. This moment will surely be on my mind. People who aren’t paying close attention are still parroting things like “count the fingers” or “it’s just doing word prediction”. Even people who have some experience with \"AI\" often still think of it as that chatbot thing that's always wrong, can't count, and doesn't know who the president is or what year it is.\n\nI don't think people can even comprehend how fast things are moving. When was the OpenClaw moment, February? We honestly didn't seem to even have agentic loops at the beginning of this year, at least not in the way we do now. Most people still seem to think AI is what it was in early 2025.\n\nAs for the reality of actually using it, I feel like I have a superpower for learning. I just started modding Project Zomboid, a game I play, and I've only spent about four hours working on it. I'm already making maps and feel like I understand the foundations. \n\nI basically have a personal assistant I can ask questions constantly: What does this button do? What concepts does the engine use to develop content? How does this particular system work? A few years ago, learning something like this would have taken me weeks or months of Google searches, digging through old forum posts, watching tutorials, and piecing information together.\n\nOn a slightl\n\n[55 upvotes] People went from horses and carriages to going to space in like 60 years.\n\nThis has always happened. It’s not new. Society is able to adapt to advancements in technology. Just the past 30 years you had the internet and the smartphones which literally like everyone uses. It’s a whole different social dimension. ",
