"transcript": "We are literally sitting in the front row watching something way smarter than us being born.\n\nEveryone is panicking about jobs, doom, or worst case scenarios... but can we just appreciate how crazy it is to actually witness this?? Life saddenly doesn't feel boring anymore. The complete uncertainty of what happens next adds this electric energy to everyday life.\n\nEven if it ends up completely changing everything or leading to our own irrelevance, being alive right at the exact moment intelligence shifts from biological to digital is peak luck.\n\n\n\n--- Top Comments ---\n\n\n[82 upvotes] It's kind of annoying. I feel you're right, like we're living through something momentous that is rare or even unique in the cosmos, and yet I've got shit to do but I can't stop thinking about the implications or checking for new news about it.\n\n[49 upvotes] Right now we're in a formula 1 car. It's feeling super cool as you look as the car grows around us and the race track materializes. You think \"wow, this is going to be amazing when it takes off\".\n\nWhat you don't know is this won't stop at the F1 car. As it reaches it's peak acceleration, we'll all be transferred to a rocket ship. And as that reaches it's top speed, we'll be transferred to something much, much faster.\n\nNot to kill some of the enthusiasm, but almost all of us know one thing to be true about ourselves. We're not F1 drivers. This is going to go much faster than we'll be comfortable with. And that'll just be when we're in the F1 car.\n\n[39 upvotes] Im a believer, but not fully aboard the train yet. 1 more millennium problem (without any controversy this time) and you’ve got me. \nSee u in a month \n\n[39 upvotes] I actually thought it was pretty cool living through a millennium. Since then there’s been a financial crash, pandemic and war in Europe. Now we get to live through the god damn singularity!",
